Opening times of our nursery.
Our nursery runs alongside our school day. It is open 8.50am - 3.30pm.
Parents can choose from the following three attendance patterns.
Every term time day 8.50am - 11.50am (15 hours funded)
Every term time day 8.50am - 2.50pm (30 hours funded) – If you are not entitled to 30 hours of childcare funding, you can pay for the extra 15 hours of childcare.
Every term time day 8.50am - 3.30pm (30+ hours) – there is an additional charge for childcare after 2.50pm.
Children must attend the same hours weekly and we do not offer stretch funding.
Costings/funding for our nursery
Please be aware our costing is reviewed every September to reflect Derbyshire's funded hours.
Additional hours – If you wish your child to attend a nursery until 3.30pm (the end of the school day) there is an extra charge of £4.30 per day (£21.50 per week) that should be paid via ParentPay. This additional 40 minutes must be taken up every day should you wish to use this additional provision.
Every nursery aged child is entitled to 15 hours of free funding. In order for the school to claim this, you must fill out the FE1 form at the bottom of this page.
If your child is eligible for 30 hours funded childcare, please also include your 30-hour code on the FE1 attached.
If your child is not eligible for 30 hours funded childcare, but you would still like them to attend our setting for 30 hours, you will need to pay the extra 15 hours a week on Parent Pay. The cost of this is £96.75 per week (£6.45 per hour). This must be paid upfront to avoid any debts occurring.

School meals
Children at a Nursery age are not entitled to universal free school meals. If your child is staying all day at school, they can have a school lunch for £3.25 per day, or they can bring a packed lunch from home. We ask that children either have school dinners full time or packed lunches and do not chop and change. You can find the latest school dinner menu on the Derbyshire website.

School uniform
All pupils are expected to wear school uniform at Westhouses. Nursery pupils may wear black leggings or joggers with a white polo T-shirt and a school jumper/cardigan or a dress/skirt. Children should wear sensible footwear depending on the weather. Children should wear black bottoms and a plain white T-shirt on PE days; EYFS PE day is currently a Friday.
