Week 5 W/C 4th May

Hello Explorers,

This is the time table for week 5. Below is a little update about the maths learning from now on.

Recently in maths, we have been directing you to the white rose maths website. We will continue to do so, however, they are changing the way they do things slightly. They will still be posting a video for each day of learning, but not a pdf worksheet. Instead, they will post a link to the BBCbitesize activities which will be covering the same lesson objectives as their own. Below is a picture of their 12 week plan to ensure that all pupils have covered all the content they need in order to be prepared for their next year in school. We will therefore be following this same plan up until the time that the children will be returning to school.

Below is the link for the bbcbitesize daily lessons which you will need access to this week.

Each day please could you read your school book or a book with an adult at home.

During the week, it is also important to continue learning phonics. Games to help with alternative sounds this week are: Acorn Adventures, Cheeky chimps and flash cards.

Mrs Ramsdale’s Group focus on: alternative pronunciations of ‘ou’.

Mrs Tucker’s Group focus on: alternative ‘ure’ spellings.

E.g.  Take a tour of the moor. Are you sure you will wear the velour dress? Will tourists go to see manure?
