Week 4 W/C 27th April

Here is the timetable for week 4 of home learning. This week, we will be focusing lots on Jack and the Giant Beanstalk in English! Maths and Phonics are remaining fairly similar, remember to access this weeks spellings in the documents section below. 

 

 The BINGO topic activities are continuing from last week. Remember to try and earn at least 20 points each week by choosing 1 or 2 of the activities in the BINGO document.

Day 1

Each day please could you read your school book or a book with an adult at home.

 

During the week, it is also important to continue learning phonics. Games to help with alternative sounds this week are: Acorn Adventures, Cheeky chimps and flash cards.

 

Mrs Ramsdale’s Group focus on: alternative pronunciations of ‘y’ and ‘ch’.

 

Mrs Tucker’s Group focus on: alternative ‘ur’ spellings.  

E.g. Can the world burst? Will a word hurt? I wore that skirt first.

Complete one lesson per day for the Summer Term: Week 1 lessons. Watch the video lesson, and record the answers to the activity in your yellow book.

 

Don’t forget to use numbots and times table rockstars during the week as well!

The story isn’t over yet, but think back to all the episodes we have watched or read this week. What has been your favourite part of the story so far and why? Do you think Jack is a kind boy and why?  What do you think will happen next and why?

Write your thoughts in your yellow book, then send a picture of your work to me on 2email on purple mash.
