Day 1

This weeks work is focused on the book “The Bad Tempered Ladybird”

Look at ladybirds online can the children name any parts of the ladybird’s body? E.g. wings, head, eyes.

 

Children to draw a ladybird and label the parts of its body.

Each day please could you read your school book or a book with an adult at home.

 

During the week, it is also important to continue learning phonics on https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/.

 

Can you write these sentences?

The frog swam across the pool.

 

Gran went to get fresh fish.

Day 2

talk to the children about the ladybird, is he kind to his friends? Tell the children that they need to write down some rules for the ladybird tofollow that’s will help it become kind.

 

Children to write 3 rules for the ladybird .

 

 

Day 3

Can the children make their own time line about their own day. For example. At 12 O’clock Mr. Cox has his lunch.

 

Day 4

Can the children rewrite parts of the book where the ladybird says something nice to the animals instead of saying he wants to fight them?

 

Choose 5 animals that the ladybird says something nice to. These animals don’t have to be from the book.

 

Day 5

Can the children draw their favourite bit of  the book and write why it is their favourite?
