This term our topic is...
World War Two
What was life like for a child during the Second World War?
How would it have felt as a relative left to fight in Europe?
How did people help out at home?
These are just a few questions that we will explore in our topic!
This half term we will focus our writing work on our Topic. We will be writing the following text types:
In grammar we will continue to revise key objectives and begin to consolidate our understanding of word classes and sentence structure. We will also continue with our daily spelling and reading lessons.
During the first few weeks, we will consolidate our understanding of Place Value. We will then move onto the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We will become fluent using formal and mental methods and will apply this knowledge to solve problems and reason mathematically.
We will also have a focus on our knowledge of multiplication and division facts.
