Day 1

Talk to the children about next year and moving up to year 1. Talk to them about the things that they are looking forward too and the things that they are worried about. Tell them that Mrs Ramsdale has ask them to write a letter to her tell her what they are looking forward too.

Each day please could you read your school book or a book with an adult at home.

 

During the week, it is also important to continue learning phonics on https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/.

 

Can you write these sentences?

 

Are all fish good at swimming?

Do you have some milkshake?

Can a tree shrink?

Will the snow fall in winter?

This week for maths please aim to complete 1 maths activity per day from the following options.

Day 2

Talk to the children about what they would like to be when they grow up listen to the what they children have to say and ask them why they want to be that when they grow up. 

 

Children to write “when I grow up I want to be …….. because………”

Day 3

Children to make Cards for Mrs. Salt as she is retiring. Make Mrs. Salt a card.

Day 4

Tell the children they are going to draw a self portrait of their selves. Ask them if they know what this is. Explain to the children.

 

Model this on the WB white board. Use a mirror to help. Narrate what you are doing.

Can the children write their favourite thing about school?
